For us, a Fire Risk Assessment is not just a tick-box exercise to complete and put in the cupboard. We believe that a property is only safe when risks have been properly assessed and obligations fully acted on, and that all starts with getting your Fire Risk Assessment right. Assurance starts with the quality of the assessment and the assessor.
Our fully independent, accredited and insured Fire Risk Assessors have all the experience necessary to identify fire risks to the highest standard.
In combination with our digital assessment platform and integrated remedials services, we make it as easy, efficient and as effective as possible for you to reduce your fire risks.
We have a range of accreditations to ensure you have full assurance in our ability to deliver to the highest standards:

Assurance starts with your assessor
The quality of your Fire Risk Assessment depends entirely on the expertise and experience of the person conducting it.
Our fully insured, expert assessors have Institute of Fire Safety Managers or Institute of Fire Engineers credentials as a minimum. They’re fully independent, impartial and their integrity is built on giving you an unbiased evaluation of your premises.
From planning and discussing your site-specific requirements, to delivering your assessment, our experienced assessors may see things that others don’t due to their previous experiences and are therefore able to provide you with quality advice and assurance at every stage of the process. Once on site, our assessor will share their findings as they walk the site with your nominated member of staff, giving you a clear understanding of your current position by highlighting any amends and potential remedial actions required as seen – so you already have a clear picture before the report arrives.
The right experience is critical
We believe that its not enough for assessors to have only a Health & Safety background, the assessors need to have a proven fire background. Alongside having all relevant industry accreditations and memberships, some of our assessors also have a background serving within the fire and rescue service for many years, having experienced live situations which could have been avoided and therefore, giving them an invaluable perspective in identifying and reducing fire risk across a range of settings.

Specialist expertise across property types
No two buildings or the people that occupy them face the same fire safety challenges. From care homes housing the elderly, to schools or more commercial retail sites, the risks and responsibilities vary. We’ll always send the assessor with the most relevant experience to your site, ensuring your assessment accurately reflects the risks of your unique environment.

If you choose, our integrated remedials service can help you to quickly meet any obligations identified through your fire risk assessment and organise works efficiently through a single point. Where urgent works are required or where it’s challenging to find suitable specialist suppliers, our Triple A service gives you access to our group of industry-leading fire service providers, taking the hassle away from resolving your fire risks.

Yes, in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, completing a fire risk assessment for your premises is a legal requirement if you are responsible for a building that is not a ‘single private dwelling’.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that you must have a "competent" person carrying out your fire risk assessment. The Home Office advises that, in choosing a fire risk assessor, preference be given to companies (which can include sole traders), that are certificated by a recognised third-party certification body, or to persons who are certificated as competent to carry out Fire Risk Assessments under a recognised certification scheme or are registered as such by a professional body.
Yes, the Responsible Person(s) can use the technical guides to carry out their own fire risk assessment, but, commonly, the Responsible Person(s) will engage the services of a consultant or another third party (‘a fire risk assessor’) to carry out the fire risk assessment(s) for their premises to ensure that they have employed a "competent person" to carry out the task.
When the report has been completed, the actions noted within must be addressed in line with the priority which the assessor has advised for each. We are also able to advise on post-FRA remedials: click here.
Yes, the Responsible Person(s) can use their HSE provider to carry out their fire risk assessment, but, commonly the HSE provider will not have a proven fire knowledge & experience and may not carry the accreditations recommended by the Home Office.
The Responsible Person(s) will typically engage the services of a consultant or another third party (‘a fire risk assessor’) to carry out the fire risk assessment(s) for their premises to ensure that they have employed a "competent person" to carry out the task.
No, the fire risk assessment is a survey of your building which is not "intrusive". We carry out a "hands in pockets" inspection. It is always advisable for you to provide a point of contact on the day to show the assessor around your site to ensure that the assessor sees every part of your building and is also able to gain copies of the required maintenance records in order to complete the report fully.
